WESTCHESTER PRIDE AT PLAYLAND

A day of fun for the LGBTQ Community, Friends, Family and supporters. As a member of
the Westchester Pride Coalition, LPSS has discounted advance tickets for $20 which

a. Saturday, August 1, “The LGBTQ Artists’ Space” 4 :00 - 6:00 pm. A dialogue amongst artists of all media. Meeting every first Saturday of the month. b. Wednesday, August 12, LGBTQ Drumming Circle 7:00 - 8:30 pm. No experience necessary. The Drumming Circle meets every second Wednesday of the month. $5.00 donation requested. It is a pot-luck snack event. Call Maryann @ 914-563-3447 for more information
c. Tuesday, August 18, The LGBTQ Community Meeting: Social Planning Committee Meeting 6:30-7:30pm, and Community Support Group 7:30-9pm, followed by refreshments & social.

e. Fridays, The on-going Friday Night Women’s Support group for Lesbian, Bisexual and

An invitation to all LPSS volunteers and their partners/significant others:
Volunteer Appreciation Day ~ Sunday, August 30, 2009 ~ 1pm-6pm. Our way of saying thank you for facilitating, supervising, working on a committee or being part of a very special group of volunteers who may not have a title but who are part of the work crews that make the different events a reality. Call LPSS to RSVP and for more details.
CONSCIOUSNESS RAISING GROUP:
The next all inclusive Women’s Consciousness Raising Group, for the Transgender, Lesbian, Bisexual and Questioning Women’s Community is now forming. The new group will become closed to new participants after the second meeting. The first meeting (date to be announced) will also be an orientation session where the group structure/guidelines/purpose will be explained and questions answered. The group created at the orientation meeting will decide on the dates/times of their 6/8 week series. Call LPSS @ 914-514-3220 for more information.
FACILITATOR TRAINING:
LPSS will be offering a facilitator training to all Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender individuals who have the desire to make a difference and to give back to the community.
Lambda Peer Support Services provides an exceptional training/supervision program for its volunteers. The intense and thorough training and supervision program, conducted by certified clinicians and experienced facilitators, will give you the skills, knowledge and support needed to successfully facilitate the many discussion/support groups and/or workshops LPSS may offer during the year. No experience needed. Call LPSS.
THE HOLIDAY CONNECTIONS PROGRAM:
This is an open invitation to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Questioning Community, 18 yrs. and older to come celebrate the holidays with community through the LPSS “Holiday Connections” Program. The “LGBTQ Family Events” are traditionally a pot luck get together, hosted at the home of a member of the community.
Whether you come for the day or just for dessert, you are welcome to join in the fun that community can offer. A dish
